True Satisfaction

Brian Adams
John 4:1-42

We all take many different paths seeking satisfaction and meaning in life, but true satisfaction only comes from knowing and following God.  We may think our sin disqualifies us from knowing God, but Jesus is never surprised by our sin.  He is always pursuing us.

How Do You Relate to the God Who Has No Needs?

James Rochford
2 Samuel 7

How do you relate to a God who has no needs? You trust that He does not want to take from you anything that is worth anything. You focus on God's promises, not what you think you deserve. You accept and appreciate what God has already given you.

Living Sacrifices

Ben Foust
Romans 12:1-2

As one of his first calls to action in the book of Romans, Paul urges us to worship the Lord. When we worship the Lord with our lives and are close to Him, we are slowly transformed to be like Christ.

God's Glory

Mike Sullivan
Ezekiel 3:12-11:20

Through a vision, God reveals to Ezekiel the ways that Israel has stopped glorifying Him and instead has turned to idolatry.

Worship

Danny Walker
John 4:23

The Father created us to be in relationship with Him and to worship Him. It is not to be a burdensome chore but an acknowledgment of the amazing glory of God. To truly worship God, we must have our eyes opened to see His unsearchable attributes, His power and sovereignty. "When we magnify His name and celebrate His glory, our own souls partake of greatness."

The Breakdown of Faith

Conrad Hilario
Exodus 32-34

When God makes us wait, it raises big questions such as "Can I trust God?" This testing of our faith can cause it to grow just as exercise causes muscles to grow.

The God Who Makes Us Wait

James Rochford
Exodus 32:1-34:35

As the Israelites grew impatient, waiting for Moses to come down from the mountain, they demanded Aaron make them a golden calf to worship. God often makes us wait to hear from Him. The pressure of waiting can lead to spiritual growth or it can lead to idolatry.

When Faith Breaks Down:The Golden Calf

Dennis McCallum
Exodus 32-34

While the people waited for Moses to come down from the mountain where he was talking with God, the people faltered in their faith and cast a golden calf to worship instead of God. The gold that God compelled the Egyptians to give to the Israelites that was to be used in the fashioning the ark of the Covenant and the tabernacle, the people used to form an idol because they were tired of waiting on God.

Good and Evil Are Real

Dennis McCallum
Exodus 20:1-11

Good and evil are objectively real. They are not a social construct. We cannot control or dictate what is moral or not. We were created by an infinite, personal God who knows better than we do what is good for us.
